School principal dies in ghastly crash on her way to get exam papers

A secondary school principal has died in a ghastly road crash after a car she was travelling in to get examination papers for her school, hit a stationery vehicle.
Her two other colleagues sustained serious injuries and currently receiving treatment at the Kijabe Mission Hospital. Their conditions are reportedly critical.
The accident occurred Monday morning on Naivasha-Mai Mahiu road, some several kilometres to Mai Mahiu town, Kenya.

The deceased was the principal at Jeremiah Gitau Secondary School, a private school in Mai Mahiu, while the rest were principals at Kiambogo Secondary School and Mustard Seed Secondary School.

Preliminary reports show the Jeremiah Gitau Secondary principal died on the spot.

Following the Monday morning accident, education officials led by Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development boss, Dr. Julius Jwan, went to the affected schools to ensure the exams kick off smoothly.

Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed the accident.
