Three Kotoko board members ready to resign from the club
It appears all is not well at Kumasi Asante Kotoko as the turbulence within the corridors of the club’s board of directors is still raging.
According to a report filed by Accra based Asempa FM, three persons within the current 12 member board of directors are raging and want to resign from the club’s board of directors.
The report claims that these three persons which include entrepreneur and business magnate Dr. Kofi Abban want to resign from their position after Otumfour’s decision to retain Kwame Kyei from resigning.
Last time it was the board chairman, Dr Kwame Kyei who wanted to resign but his resignation letter was rejected by the life patron of the club Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II.
According to the reports, the three persons see Dr. Kwame Kyei as a stumbling block to the progress of the club as in the past a member of the club’s board in a covet message on social media described him as ‘Ziba’.
The club is currently in United Arab Emirates preparing for the 2021/22 season which begins on 29th October, 2021.
