E/R: Welder stabbed to death at Okornya

According to residents, the incident occurred Tuesday dawn after the deceased in the company of his accomplice attempted to abscond with a stolen motorbike.

His accomplice managed to abscond but Prince was not lucky when his assailants stabbed him in the chest. Two other accomplices also suffered severe cutlass wounds and have been hospitalized.

His assailants are at large.

The knife used to stab him was still in his chest when police came for the body.

Some residents say, the deceased is a notorious thief who has a case pending in court and was expected to appear before a Koforidua Circuit court today, Wednesday.

The alleged stolen bicycle left beside the deceased has been impounded by the police.

Police have commenced investigations into the incident.
