Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has been convicted by the Accra Circuit Court on charges of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence.

The conviction follows a 2022 televised broadcast in which she falsely claimed to have spiritual powers to double money, a scheme that reportedly led several victims to lose substantial sums.

While sentencing is yet to be delivered, the court has directed that Nana Agradaa undergo a pregnancy test, in accordance with sentencing procedures for female convicts, before a final decision is made.

Further details on the sentencing are expected in the coming days.
