Ghana international Lawrence Ati-Zigi has vowed to achieve more after making his 200th appearance for St Gallen in the Swiss Super League.
The Black Stars goalkeeper reached the milestone on Saturday during his side’s narrow 1-0 victory over Lugano at the Kybunpark. Ati-Zigi marked the occasion with a clean sheet, as Carlo Boukhalfa’s first-half strike secured all three points for St Gallen.
“All glory to God for my 200 Super League games... Great team performance and amazing support from our fans. More to come. Indeed, He is Lord,” Ati-Zigi wrote on Instagram.
Since joining St Gallen in January 2020, Ati-Zigi has been a cornerstone of the club, racking up 200 appearances, 39 clean sheets, and conceding 294 goals. Earlier this year, he committed his future to the Swiss side with a contract extension until summer 2027.
While he has recently lost his starting berth in the Black Stars to Hearts of Oak’s Benjamin Asare, Ati-Zigi remains undisputed first choice at club level.
This season, the 27-year-old has made three league appearances, conceding just two goals and recording one clean sheet.
