Kotoko in talks with Medeama to sign midfielder Justice Blay

Kumasi Asante Kotoko is close to sealing a deal with Medeama SC for midfielder Justice Blay as negotiations between the two sides continue.

The porcupine warriors were after the defensive midfielder last season but the deal fell through due to the prohibitive amount of money quoted by the Tarkwa based side.

Blay is not new to Asante Kotoko as he spent the 2019/2020 season on loan at Kotoko from Medeama but the season was truncated due to the coronavirus before he returned to his parent club.

He sustained a career ending injury last season when his side faced Legon Cities at the Akoon Park after a savage tackle by Legon Cities defender Jospeh Adjei.

The mauve and yellows are demanding Ghc50,000 from Kumasi Asante Kotoko but the club are haggling as negotiations continue with an agreement close to being reached between the two teams who have done a lot of business this season and even in the past.
