Colombo: Sri Lanka’s Colombo FC were held to a goalless draw by Chennaiyin FC of India in the first leg of their 2019 AFC Cup Play-off match at the Colombo Race Course Ground on Wednesday.

Colombo entered the match with confidence, having beaten Transport United 9-2 on aggregate in the Preliminary Stage, but the Indian Super League champions showed their qualities to keep the game tight.

The deadlock continued well into the second half, with both sides unable to find a way through.

Colopmbo head coach Priyantha Kumara brought in forward Mohamed Zarwan Johar in the 62nd minute while Chennaiyin made two changes of their own with Singh Khangembam Thoi and Vineeth coming on in the 72nd and 74th minutes.

Both the defenses stood tall here in Colombo. All to play for in the second leg in Ahmedabad. See you there! ?
