Asamoah Gyan to take penalties for Ghana again?
Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan may make a dramatic u-turn on his decision not to take penalties for the country again.
Gyan is on record as having missed two crucial penalties that cost Ghana dearly in the past: one in the quarter final of the 2010 World Cup against Uruguay, and another in the semi-final of the 2012 AFCON against Zambia.
In November 2012, Gyan made a public pledge to refrain from taking penalties for the team following his ordeal of coming under a lot of criticisms.
But he seems set to go back on his word following the emergence of a video from the Black Stars pre-AFCON 2017 training camp at the Al Ain Sports Club in the UAE.
Gyan is seen practicing penalties – and enjoying it too!
Have a look at the video below.
The Black Stars open their AFCON 2017 camapian on January 17 against Uganda in Port Gentil.
